1. Things that used to bother you, bother you less – or not at all.

Whatever bothered you could be anything - a physical problem, people, places, situations, flying in an airplane (phobias or aversions), or old memories. Sometimes what comes up in a session as underlying factors can be a surprise (with respect to the issue a client originally came in for). Nevertheless, the end result is that the client feels better and feels less affected by their original issue.

When I was a kinesiology student, I had a plane trip after one of my first modules. We'd worked on a range of topics, practising on each other. I noticed that I was extremely calm on the flight (which was not usual for me on a plane).

Recently, Client A was working with me on emotional upset from the recent ending of her long-term relationship, and a series of sessions has helped her feel calmer. "I feel way better since you started to do this, honestly. I feel like the spiral of thoughts I used to get lost in has reduced, like 70%".

2. You feel more comfortable physically and emotionally.

You may notice you sleep better, have more energy in your waking hours and feel less stressed. Your body works better and heals itself. You have more capacity to cope - and the reason is because you’ve reduced your system's total load of things to cope with.

Client B was dealing with lingering post-viral fatigue that meant she was too tired to go to the gym. The session revealed that a stressful work environment was also a factor.

B messaged me the next day: "Hey, thanks for the session! I am actually feeling much better today! I didn't take a nap and I went to Zumba :)"

3. You learn more about your life and narrative.

This is one really profound side-benefit. You may start to see patterns in your life that have affected you in multiple ways. This can happen when, for example, we keep finding similar situations repeating in our lives, or in sessions I keep finding the same time of your life showing up with emotional/energetic stresses. Learning about the fuller picture of what has contributed to the issue you're working on can give you greater self-understanding, more compassion (towards yourself and even others) and a broader context with which you can look at your life. It helps with personal growth, even though that is not usually the prime goal of energy healing.

Client C came to me for help with a repeating pattern of relationships that ended badly and suddenly. C felt she was blocking positive, respectful relationships and was attracting self-centred partners, and she felt frustrated by this pattern. With a little exploring, she saw patterns in her family history that seemed to have set up this dynamic, where she didn't feel safe to be herself in a love relationship. C had a few sessions and reported that her dating life was much better a few months later - her fears and the old pattern simply weren't an issue for her anymore.

There is a caveat:

Sometimes one might feel more agitated as something is on its way out. This can sometimes be referred to as a 'healing crisis' (although please don't let the word 'crisis' frighten you - it often isn't extreme enough to warrant that word). A change is a sign that something is moving and shifting. As an analogy, you sometimes need to stir up dirty water first before you can unblock a drain. For example, the symptom of pain may change while it is on its way out of the body - for example, the sensations may be felt in a different location, a dull ache may instead begin to throb, or the pain may even increase temporarily before it fades away.

Kinesiology aims to heal what can safely be healed and integrated in that session, not more. I do give self-care tips to help you get the most out of your healing sessions with the minimum of disruption, but it is hard to predict how someone's body-mind may react.

It is common to feel any of the following during or after a session:  sleepy, emotional (sad, happy, angry, bored, irritable, or tearful), tingling/warmth and other changing physical sensations.

This may leave you with a few questions, in which case - please contact me. I'll do my best to answer them.
