Kinesiology (the energy healing type) is a collection of various ways of pinpointing energy blockages/stresses and releasing them. This allows the body-mind to come back to a state of balance and wellness.
I now live in Japan and work with clients all over the world, offering distance healing* (please see the bottom of the article for more detail). In a session, I look for the energy blocks that are affecting my client in terms of the issues they want to work on. Releasing those blocks allows for healing and is done with simple techniques. These are the methods I use most often:
1. Sending Healing Energy from my Hands
This is by far the most common method I use for an "energy correction" - over 90% of the time. I place my hand over the physical body or energy field (which extends beyond the physical body) and send energy to the area indicated in the session, for example:
- a chakra (one of the 7 major chakras, one of the minor chakras, or even one of the off-body chakras)
- an organ,
- a gland,
- the aura,
- a nadi point,
- a reflex point,
- a specific acupressure point (this is called 'pulsing'),
- or an entire acupressure meridian (I trace the meridian line with my palm, from start to end).
2. White Light
Sometimes, the client's body asks for energy from another source - it shows that white light is needed. Light is energy, of course, and white light contains all the colours of the visible spectrum. White light can be used for any of the same body areas listed above.
3. Flower Remedies
I have used Australian Bush Flower Essences with great success on my clients (and myself). I use kinesiology to check which remedy is best for the issue my client is currently dealing with. The Australian ones aren't the only ones that work though - Bach Flower Remedies and other brands are also valid and used by other healers; I just like the wide array of the Aussie ones, which cover a lot of emotional states and attitudes. I don't sell them but it's easy for clients to order them online.
One of the special benefits of flower remedies is that they provide prolonged energetic support for emotional well-being (a bottle usually last 2+ weeks) and they are easy to use, so they can be excellent in times of transition or in ongoing situations (such as a stressful work environment).
Aside from remedies for specific situations, some of them are just good to have on hand as a 'first aid kit' (like their Emergency Essence for anytime stress, and their Space Clearing spray for energetic protection of the body and energy clearing of rooms - this is the one I use most often for myself).
4. Affirmations
I love affirmations and use them daily myself - they are like easy little prayers and reminder statements that can inspire, empower, provide comfort, and remind people to take aligned action. In a session, I use them as a way to find any sabotaging subconscious beliefs (which is very common) that are negating the client's desired outcome. I do energy healing to clear the sabotaging belief - and then the affirmation can actually work with its full positive effect. Similarly, I sometimes give an affirmation to use as homework after a session - even to many of my tarot clients. This is to prolong the positive and empowering effects of the session, and to avoid slipping back into negativity.
I use affirmation from textbooks or I devise one with my client, testing to see that it is the best one that applies to their situation.
There you have it - that explains the main techniques I use.
Most of the time in the session is used in accessing the detailed information 'stored' in your body, which leads us to the best healing technique for the issue we're working on together. Our dialogue is part of the healing process (bringing subconscious information to the conscious mind). The final release of energy blocks is quick, simple and non-invasive, as you can see.
*More about distance (remote) healing
It sounds weird, I know. The first time I heard of it I thought it was nonsense. Years later, I became Reiki-attuned and distance healing techniques were covered in the course, and I found it interesting. Fast forward a few more years: I left Hong Kong (where a lot of my old regular clients still are) and moved to Japan. I didn't want to work in a healing centre here in Japan (my Japanese still isn't good enough) and the worldwide physical distancing events of 2020 started not too long after that - all of which pushed me to start offering distance kinesiology so I could connect with clients around the world. In those early days I was testing distance healing on a lot of my friends around the world - they were stressed with the dramatic changes, lockdowns, and so on. Distance healing works! Other healers and researchers try to explain how and why it works (energy connections can operate over any distance), but first and foremost, I go by my clients' great results.
What a typical session is like:
(I have other articles about what a typical session with me is like, but here's the short version.)
I discuss my client's issue with them, gathering information to use in the session "circuit" (some jargon for you there). The client gives me permission to connect to their energy for the session. (At this point we disconnect the phone call.) My body acts as a surrogate for theirs in the session, and I perform muscle testing on myself to detect my client's imbalances and find more relevant information about those blocks so that I can release them. In this way, I can even work on a client's young child or pet - those who cannot explain what's bothering them. Once the session is done, I follow up with the client to discuss what showed and go over their questions or comments. This is also an important part of our time together and can bring about insights and growth. Just take a look at my testimonials.
I frequently find in the session things (events, emotions, bodily issues) that they forgot to mention and that ended up being important to their healing that day. It's one of the great things about being able to ask the body what it needs in order to heal, and one of the reasons that I really do love my job!
